Erik, you made my concept clear. I was about to go for a guest blogging thing and was looking for some good answers before going into it and getting some results for my own site. Hi Erik,
Thanks for the article. I’ve always found the best result of guest blogging is getting to make connections with influential bloggers or blog editors. The networking aspect has been far more valuable to me than any links or traffic I got from the guest post (with the exception of a few posts that have sent a lot of on-going traffic). With that in mind, selecting the right blog is really important so you’re making connections with the right people.

It is true that in practically anything associated with digital marketing or SEO, we need to get it done right. In particular, guest posting without careful thought would be a waste to time and effort at best.

Guest posting without proper objective would be a failure. You have done a good job of pointing out exactly what we need to aim for when we decide to spend the time and effort in writing a guest post for a blog.

One important tip is to make sure the blog where you are sharing your guest post on has a big readership and daily traffic. You don’t want all of your time and effort to yield little to no results, right.
