Are you an experienced writer or a newbie in the blogging world?

Whether your category is, you are going to love the tool I will introduce in today’s article.

Do you know that how you write your site content will influence the rankings in search engines?

Based on this principle, you can use TextOptimizer to boost your rankings and improve your SEO.

How TextOptimizer Works for Better Rankings

To start, simply enter your webpage address into the field. For testing, I used this link: https://bizsmallbiz.com/leadsgate/

The first result will give you some general information, like:

  • what your text is about
  • who is your test for
  • the format of your text
  • examples of words missing in your text

Based on the format of my text, I received a score of 86%, with overall good impressions:

To increase your writing style rating, you should:

  • Prefer formal and elevated language; specific, precise and technical terms.
  • Avoid relaxed language, contractions (I’ll), vague words.

Now, to proceed using the real power of TextOptimizer, click on “Optimize my text Now”, at the end of the page results.

You can choose to improve your ranking for Google or Bing (I went with Big G).

In the next step, you want to enter the search terms to improve your rankings for, including also your target location:

For the “leadsgate” keyword and target location in the U.S., I got a score of optimization of 96%.

Now, TextOptimizer will give you a list of words you can use to keep improving your webpage, no matter the optimization result you got.

You can sign-up for a free trial, by simply entering your email address:

I received in my email, a report with a list of words I can add (or replace) in the webpage I want to optimize.

Including, a list of tips:

  • Choose the most suitable words for your text. Previous suggestions are not ranked by priority.
  • Modify your text to add the words you selected. You may modify existing sentences or write new ones.
  • Be natural in your writing. Avoid keyword stuffing.
  • Repeat this analysis until you reach 80% on your content rating.

Use TextOptimzer for Content Ideas

How many times have you found yourself without ideas, when trying to create new content for your website?

With TextOptimizer, you can get suggestions, by simply adding a keyword, to find new topics to write about.

After adding your query (for example “make money online”), you will get a list of topics, in form of questions.

Basically, what are internet users searching for about the keyword you entered, including:

  • Number of people asking the question
  • Number of sites publishing an answer

TextOptimizer Pricing

With the free trial, you can run the analysis of webpages.

With the PRO version, at 60$/month, you will get additional features, including:

  • Text Optimization (to find words to add and remove in your content)
  • Search the millions of questions people are asking (with content ideas for your next article)
  • Excel file export (to keep data organized)
  • Chrome & WordPress plugin (to write and optimize faster)

Final Words

You want to be able to create content to please both search engines and users.

With TextOptimizer, you can. Optimization is aimed at adding or removing keywords from your text, so to better match search engine expectations.

I found this tool easy to use, quick, and efficient.

In just a few minutes, I was able to modify my webpage, to improve the overall optimization score.

Try TextOptimizer now, there’s a free trial waiting for you!

Now, it’s over to you.

What tools are you using to optimize your content?

Are you going to give TextOptimizer a try?

If you are in the blogging, internet marketing or SEO field for some time already, then you surely know that using the right tools will make the difference in being successful or not.

In this post, I’m going to introduce you Spotibo, a new on-page SEO and analysis tool (there’s a free, forever plan, I’m sure you want to grab).

How to Get Started With Spotibo

You can sign up using your Google account (Spotibo will only get access to basic account information, like your username and email).

Registration is free, with no credit card required.

Once you signed up, you will get access to dashboard with all the features.

From the top left menu, you can add a new project. Just enter the desired URL you want to analyze and leave the other fields pre-compiled:

I decided to analyse nepetacataria.org, my niche site (monetized with Amazon and Adsense).

I want to see what I can do to improve the on-page SEO of this site.

So, after you add the URL, just click the Analyse button and give Spotibo a few seconds to complete the crawling and evaluate your web pages.

Once the analysis is done, click on Report to check the results.

As you can see from the overview:

Spotibo found on my site:

  • 75 errors
  • 120 urgent warnings
  • 15 warnings
  • 45 information

That’s quite a lot to check! Let’s dive into it.

Site Analysis with Spotibo

For every section of your site on-page SEO, Spotibo will tell you the issues and how to solve them.

Pretty neat!

Plus, you will have access to Explorer, which lets you control everything that needs to be fixed, filtering per content, links or tecnical aspects of the site.

Site Titles

Coming back to nepetacaria.org analysis, Spotibo found out that some of the title tags are too short, which means their length is less than 200px (it might be a case in which you are not using the full potential of the title tag, and where you don’t have relevant keywords and information included).

The solution offered by Spotibo is the following:

Check to see if you are using relevant keywords in your title and if it describes what your page is about. If you decide to rewrite it, make sure it is no longer than 600px. You can write your new title with our SERP preview tool and see immediately if it will work for all search engines.

Headings

The SEO tool checked my site and found out that headings in h1 tag are not set or might be empty. H1 is the important part of your content, and together with the title, it tells search engines what your page is about.

H1 is also essential for web accessibility, and its absence makes it more complicated for the handicapped to understand the content. Therefore, it shouldn’t be empty, and it should be written relevantly to your page and consist of your targeted keywords.

The solution proposed is the following:

Use your main heading in <h1> tag and make sure it is descriptive and consists of relevant keywords. We recommend using only one <h1> tag for each page, in most cases.

Also, Spotibo found other headings issues (that I can check in details in the Explorer section).

Meta Descriptions

The SEO tool found issues in the meta descriptions of my site too.

It told me that some of the meta descriptions are not set or might be empty. The meta description is an important part of SERP’s snippet, which influences users to click through to a page. Therefore, you should write a description for every important landing page.

The solution offered by Spotibo is the following:

If you consider such pages as important landing pages, fill out meta descriptions and make sure they are descriptive, consist of relevant keywords and that they are not longer than 1,750px. You can check its length in our SERP preview tool. If they are not important for organic traffic, you don’t need to make any changes, but the search engine will generate a description from the page’s content.

Redirections

Several issues were found by Spotibo in this section.

For example, there are pages with more than one redirect on my niche site. This means that if there are more redirections, the search engine has to visit more URLs. This takes too much time, and your crawl budget might be used up because of that. But you don’t have to deal with this issue unless there is a significant number of occurrences.

The solution offered by the SEO tool is the following:

Fix these redirections. Redirect all URLs to one final URL and remove all excessive redirections in between.

Indexation and Crawling

Several important issues were found in this section.

For example, some of my site pages are blocked by robots.txt

There are pages disallowed in robots.txt (e.g. Disallow: /category/1234), indicating to search engine crawlers that these URLs shouldn’t be crawled. Use “Disallow” only when you don’t want search engine robots to crawl unimportant or similar pages and to waste a crawl budget.

Note: You should not use robots.txt to hide your web pages from search results, because your page could get into search results anyway. If you want to block the page from search results, use noindex tags.

The solution offered by Spotibo is the following:

If you consider such pages as being important, you need to allow web crawlers access to your pages by deleting or editing the “Disallow” directive in robots.txt.

Not Found/Server Errors

Spotibo informed me that I have pages with 4xx on your website. The most common case with client error 4xx is probably 404 error, which means a page was not found. This is mostly a burden for your users, who click on the link that leads to the non-existing page.

Also, search engines are constantly trying to crawl these error pages on your website, which might use up your crawl budget and slow down the crawling of your pages. At the end, the search engine might even de-index pages after a few unsuccessful attempts to crawl it.

The solution offered by Spotibo is the following:

You can either recover the lost content on the page or you can redirect the page through 301 redirect to another relevant page. If none of these options work for you, you can find the links referring to the error page and remove them.

Explorer Section

In this section of Spotibo, you can check all your site issues, filtering by:

  • URL
  • Title
  • Meta Description
  • Headings
  • Different kind of links
  • Search Engines Access
  • Canonical
  • File size
  • Charset
  • Time of last crawl

Also, by visiting the left menu, you can directly check the following:

  • Web pages
  • Images
  • Another content
  • Redirects
  • Client errors (4xx)
  • Server errors (5xx)
  • External Pages

Spotibo Pricing

With the registration, you have a free, forever plan, which includes:

  • 500 URL’s per month
  • 50 Websites limit
  • Unlimited Users

If you need more than that, you can upgrade to Lite, Standard, or Advanced plans.

For example, with the Standard plan, at $59/mo, you will get:

  • 300,000 URL’s per month
  • 50 Websites limit
  • Unlimited Users

Final Words

Spotibo has made the on-page SEO really simple. I found the tool easy to use and user-friendly.

The analysis of my site was fast (just around one minute), lots of issues were found and for each of them, I received a particular solution to fix the problem. I really liked it!

With the free, forever plan, you will get enough power to check your site, every month (or different sites, periodically).

So I definitely recommend to register at Spotibo and start improving the on-page SEO of your site today.

Now, over to you.

What do you think?

Are you going to test Spotibo?

Have you ever heard of it?

Please share your thoughts in the comments below, thanks!

Have you visited your Google webmaster tools and analytics lately? Some things there have recently changed to help you with your blog or website’s SEO.

As you read earlier here on this blog SEO helps customers come through your front door.

One of the newer things in Google Webmaster tools I have explored is the data highlighter in the search appearance.

Google Webmaster Tools

Buy Now keywords written on a laptop screen

Data Highlighter

This makes your data show in the rich snippets the way you want them to show up in search. Google can display your data more attractively to readers in new ways enhancing your results.

You can use these for articles, products, software applications, events and more. This is why product reviews are becoming more important for retailers or even for you if you are selling items on your blog or website.

This highlighter only works for pages that have been crawled by Google recently.  You can also organize your data via page sets.

If you make changes to your pages you can go back and delete them and add new ones once Google has crawled the pages.

You can watch the following video for more info:

Malware

If you site has been infected by malware (software that has been intended to damage or disable your computer via bad links, etc) you will know via Google Webmaster tools now.

Neat, isn’t it?

Author Stats

Now you can see how your posts are doing on Google. This data shows search statistics for pages for which you are the verified author.

It shows you the impressions and clicks for each of your posts. It also shows your average page’s position within the Google search.

I liked seeing the impressions for certain keywords, as well as which keywords are being looked for the most.

Google Analytics

Page Speed

This is new! I love how Google checks every page for speed and tells you how to improve the page speed for each of them.

This is easier than the old chrome extension for developers. I just deleted my extension to keep up my chrome browser’s speed running fast. (The extension used to slow it down to a crawl).

You can find this under Content near the bottom left of your Google Analytics page. I went right for the page suggestions which take a little time to upload.

I will say though some of the answers or suggestions they give are NOT all easy to follow. There are some you can easily understand – like optimizing images. Others are much more complex.

This is a great SEO tool overall.

Social Value

This SEO tool is fairly new at your Google analytics. I was surprised to see Twitter ranking way up there for my blog’s conversions.

People who visited my posts via Twitter. Stumble Upon still remains at the upper part as well and I don’t use it often anymore. Google+ is rising as well.

You can see where you may need to spend more time on which of the social sites with this SEO tool.

In-Page Analytics

This SEO tool is a must. It really gives you a clear indication of where people are looking and clicking on your blog or website.

Above the fold remains high for me. How about yours? If I look further I will see some click higher on posts below the fold.

Very interesting SEO data to digest.

There are many new tools in these FREE services that Google offers webmasters. I don’t like to post too many at a time for it can be quite overwhelming to many bloggers and webmasters including myself at times.

Learn a few new ones for this week and see how your blog or website can grow with some SEO love.

Have you explored these new SEO tools in your Google Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics for your blog or website?

Today I want to share with you some helpful information about one great tool which I use for almost 20 months. It’s Market Samurai.

This tool should be used by every Online Marketer and SEO specialist. It helped me in SEO and my online work even more than Triberr helped me in my adventure with social networks.

Why?

Because with Market Samurai you can:

1)      Find Keywords for Your Blog or Website

2)      Analyze Keywords

3)      Find Perfect Domain Name for Your Site

4)      Analyze Your Competition

5)      Monitor Positions of Your keywords

6)      Estimate Cost of Your AdWords Campaign

7)      Find Affiliate Programs for Your Niche

Let’s find out some more details about each feature.

1. Find Keywords for Your Blog or Website

keyword research button

First of all – you should create a new project. It’s very simple – type your main keyword, title of your project, file name and language, click “Create” and it’s done.

Create project in Market Samurai

Now you should go to “Keyword research” area. For best results you should connect Market Samurai with your Google AdWords account. Specify needed length of phrases, type some keywords into “Add Keywords” area, click “Add keywords” button and Generate Keywords.

In the example below MS generated 737 keywords for me.

keyword research example

Now go to the next step:

2. Analyze Keywords

keyword research button

After generating keywords you should analyze them. It’s also very simple 😉

In keyword research area you should mark (tick) interesting fields (organic, adwords, competition, commerciality), change match type and period, and click analyze Keywords.

I choose “exact” match type and period “monthly”. I also mark all of the fields…

Of course you can choose other setting – it depends on you.

Keyword analysis will take some time (2-10 minutes), so you can prepare a coffee…

keyword analysis

Most important data for me are:

  • amount of searches for the keyword
  • SEOC (SEO competition) – total number of pages that mention a specific keyword term
  • SEOTC (SEO Title competition) – total number of pages that mention a specific keyword term in title
  • SEOUC (SEO URL competition) – total number of pages that mention a specific keyword term in URL

And of course you can order your keywords as you want.

If you are interested in this topic you can also read:

How to Find Keywords for Your Blog or Website

3. Find Perfect Domain Name for Your Site

Now it’s time to find proper domain name for your site. In “Domains” tab you should type some of your keywords.

Now you should choose needed TLDs (for this moment you can choose from: .com, .org, .net , .ca , .co.uk , .de , .eu , .in, .us, .org.uk , .me , .mobi , .tv , .info , .cc , .nu , .ws , .com.au, .co.nz, .me.uk, .biz)

You should also set prefixes and/or suffixes (it’s very important!)

Find domain in Market Samurai

I find a lot of my domains (org, net, biz and com) with that tool. For example this blog (NoPassiveIncome.com) and ProjectManagementBay.com (it’s not ready yet 🙁 ).

At this moment you can search only for new domain names.

4. Analyze Your Competition

seo competition button

Now you can check how strong your competition is. For chosen keyword (in SEO Competition button area) you can find top 10 pages (you can add your own URL too – chose “Add custom URL”).

seo competition

For “Top Ten” results you can see:

  • Page url
  • Domain age
  • Page Rank
  • Index Count (how many pages is indexed from the whole domain)
  • Amount of unique domains referring to the page
  • Amount of unique domains referring to the whole domain
  • Amount of backlinks referring to the whole domain
  • Amount of backlinks referring to the page
  • Amount of backlinks from .edu/.gov domains
  • Some onpage details (for example if keyword is in title, in url, in description, in header Tag)

Green color is good for you, red is not…

If you want to see some more details about specific page, you should click on the arrow near the URL. Here you can check for example:

  • Alexa details
  • Google trends
  • Whois information
  • ACRank Analysis (ACRank is similar to Page Rank)
  • Anchor Text Analysis

The last 2 options are the most important here (because they show backlinks in details) and are from Majestic SEO (you don’t need to pay for it additionally!).

5. Monitor Positions of Your Keywords

rank tracker button

With Market Samurai you can monitor for free 10 of your keywords (White belt plan). If you want to monitor more keywords, you must pay for it additionally.  I started to monitor with this tool some of my phrases recently, and it seems that it works properly.

6. Estimate Cost of Your AdWords Campaign

keyword research button

In “Keyword Research” area you can find estimation, how much you will pay (as an Adwords advertiser) if your keyword will be on the #1 of SERPs. I don’t focus on it, but for some marketers it can be an additional feature.

7. Find Affiliate Programs for Your Niche

monetization button

Honestly I’m not using it. But if you want, you can find products in ClickBank, Amazon, Commision Junction and PayDotCom affiliate programs.

Example for “make money” keyword for Amazon.com

If you still don’t know, how to use this tool, below this link you can find more Market Samurai tutorials.

Has This Tool Only Advantages?

No. Market Samurai has one disadvantage – it’s not very fast tool. For me it works very well even with that speed. But if you want very fast tool – please try to find something else for you.

How Much Market Samurai Costs?

It’s not cheap tool. Normally it costs 149$. But using this link, you can download your free trial version and test it for 12 days since registration. There is no difference between free trial and paid version – so you can try each function.

Can I Get This Tool Cheaper?

Yes, you can. You should only download your free version of Market Samurai. After registration you will get an email with registration details. In this email there will be your unique link to download your free version, registration key and link to great offer – you can get Market Samurai for only 97$. But remember – since registration you have only 7 days for getting your Market Samurai for this promotional price of 97$ (instead of 149$ – it’s 35% discount).

Bonus

When I started using it at the end of 2010, I was able to install it on 2 computers at the same time. Yesterday I contacted with Market Samurai support – now you can install it (with one license!) on 5 computers which is enough even for a small business!

And what about you? What tool are you using for your online marketing? Do you use Market Samurai?

If not, you can try it for free here (my affiliate link). If yes, please share your experience with us in comments below.

You are a Blogger (or site owner, marketing specialist or SEO specialist) and you need traffic on your site. But how you can do it? Are there any tips and tricks? Can you use enterprise SEO services to boost your organic rankings and improve your business? Or maybe you should use tools, SEO tools, for getting tons of traffic?

Below I’ll describe you five SEO tools, which I use. Some of them are totally free, and some of them are really expensive. You must choose, what is best for you.

1. Alexa

Alexa is an online tool for basic website analytics. It’s based on huge database with relevant information and statistics about webpages.

Thanks to Alexa, you can very fast find out general traffic stats, what is an audience of the website (male/female, age, education, etc.), major sites, which are linking to your site.

The interesting thing is here a short overview, on top queries from search engines.

For example for Bloggers.com, most important three keywords are:

  • Bloggers
  • Top technology blogs in Nigeria
  • Bloggers.com

Beside this, Alexa will show you Top 500 sites (worldwide, grouped by country or grouped by category).

Last interesting feature from Alexa is Alexa Toolbar, which can help you learn some statistics, related links and other things about browsed pages. It’s a plugin for your browser.

2. Google Keyword Tool

Google Keyword Tool is a totally free tool for finding keywords prepared by Google.

You can find keywords based on one or more words (or phrases). Important thing is to mark tick on Exact match, to find only specific keyword. Google Keyword tool doesn’t have a lot of options, but is simple – so I like it 🙂

Here you can read my article How to find best keywords for your blog or website  using Google Keyword Tool or Market Samurai (the next tool, I’ll describe for you)

3. Market Samurai

Market Samurai is another tool, for finding best keywords for your site and analyze your competition

It let you:

  • Find best keywords for your sites
  • Analyze your competition on specific keywords (it analyzes most important factors for pages, which are in top #10 in SERPs, of course for your keyword(s))
  • Find proper domain name for you
  • Find content among Wikipedia, Ezine Articles, Google News, etc
  • Help you find affiliates programs for you (Amazon, ClickBank, Commision Junction)

There is a lot more functions of this great tool, but personally I use it mainly for analyzing my competition, research keywords for me, and find appropriate domains (for example I find my domain nopassiveincome.com thanks to Market Samurai 🙂 ).

Market Samurai isn’t free tool. Paid version cost normally 149$ (it’s not cheap), but it is worth each cent I spent on it.

Here you can download free trial (12 days trial with some limitation). If you buy it during five days since downloading, you will get your Market Samurai only for 97$

4. SEMRush

SEMRush is a tool for analyzing organic keywords, competitors in organic search, AdWords keywords and a lot more. You can check it for ten Google databases (for instance for US, UK, DE, IT) and for Bing

For example, using free report for the website bloggers.com, we can get following results:

You can read (from the first table and first line), that most important keyword for organic search is bloggers. Bloggers.com is on 2nd position in SEPRs and this keyword generate 14,36% of organic traffic.

From second table (ads keywords) we find out, that bloggers.com doesn’t pay for ads.

And the last table (on the screen) show us, that major competitors for Bloggers.com are (in  organic search):

Youtube.com (1718 common keywords)

Zimbio.com (1088 common keywords) and

Facebook.com (987 common keywords)

Of course SEMRush offers a lot of others helpful reports – information about potential ads/traffic buyers or sellers, estimated traffic to specified site or backlinks report.

Using free version, you can generate only five reports a day, what’s much to less, even for bloggers 😉

Paid version of SEMRush cost monthly from 69.95$ (Pro recurring version) to 499$ (Enterprise version)

5. Majestic SEO

Majestic SEO is a last tool, I want to describe today.

It’s a tool mainly for analyzing your (and your competitor) backlinks, top pages, etc.

With this tool, you can also check backlink history and neighbourhood of your domain.

Three days ago Majestic SEO launched two new metrics related with link profile – trust flow and citation flow. I plan to test it in the future, but now I couldn’t tell you anything more about these features.

For getting some details about your site, you must login in to the website (so firstly you must sign up to it.

It’s free of charge, if you don’t need in-depth analysis and you need it only for your site. For professionals there are three paid plans: Silver, Gold and Platinum (49.99$, 149,99$ and 399,99$)

And how about you – do you use some SEO tools for making your life easier? Or maybe there are some other tools, which are valuable for mention?

Disclosure – please note, that some of the links above are affiliate links and I earn a commission, when you buy something via them.
