Yes, it would be better to use the fast loading WordPress themes that are optimized for speed. Of course, checking the page speed is an indeed task that we should do while buying the theme.

I am a big fan of Genesis themes and I have used for my blogs.

While some themeforest themes are very good, there are others ones which are feature rich but bloated and slow. So need to check pagespeed etc before choosing them.

These are some best theme around we have in this blogging era.

No, doubt Genesis is the best player in this field and they offer some beautiful theme and easy to access. Yet they got
some serious coding issues, thats why I haven’t given it a try.

I love Thrive and mytheme shop as they are easy to peek in go along with them.
