Ap-proximately 900,000 people listened tothe reproduction of their voices, andmany more than this number partici-pated by listening on the receivers tothis interesting test. In some casespeople returned for repeated demon-strations in an endeavor to correctspeech difficulties. A gentleman complained to thevoice mirror receptionist that he haddifficulty being heard over the tele-phone. He said that he had beenembarrassed many times by havingtelephone operators address him asyes, Maam. Observation of hisuse of the voice mirror telephone dis-closed that he spoke very softly andnot directly into the telephone. Whenthese faults were called to his atten-tion, the results were greatly im-proved, much to his delight. A humorous incident occurred whichconcerns a foreign gentleman and hisfamily.
